Yesterday, Daren and I had quite an adventure! We invited our seamstress, Josie over so we could all go together to go buy fabric in a city 2 hours away called Divisoria. We planned on just having our driver take us, but once Josie got here we realized that it was Monday, meaning it was illegal to drive our car in the city at all. They do this to cut down traffic I guess. We felt really bad because Josie had traveled 1 hour to just come to our house so we had to find another way to get to Divisoria, so she suggested that we take jeepneys to get there. We were a little bit apprehensive because neither of us knew how to get there, or even how the jeepneys worked at all, but we trusted that Josie would get us there safely. First we had to take a jeepney to the subway station...Then we had to to take two subways, and another jeepney to get there. It took about 2 hours. The subways were completely packed shoulder to shoulder, but it was still fun to see another side of the Philippines.

Divisoria is like a huge trading place..People are selling everything you can imagine; shoes, towels, flowers, fruits, meat, school supplies. Within all of that, there are little stores that sale large amounts of fabric. We spent a long time in a few fabric stores before settling on the final fabrics for our next line. We even came across a certain kind of fabric that we weren't planning on using quite yet, but it was priced so low that we couldn't resist it! It will be for something we have never made before, but thats all I can say for now. Once we were done purchasing everything we decided to just take a taxi home! haha. Sorry we do not have any photos of Divisoria, we didn't bring the camera. But I did take a photo of the fabric swatches we picked up yesterday that may or may not be in the next line ;)
